Taser drawn on armed man with knife at Dartford station
A man was arrested at Dartford station today after he was seen on a platform with a large knife.
In similar circumstances to an incident last week at Tulse Hill station, police raced to the scene and drew a taser but on this occasion it was not used.
The British Transport Police have put out a statement:
“Shortly before 12.45pm today (January 18) officers from British Transport Police and Kent Police were called to Dartford station after reports of a man in possession of a large knife.
“Police officers were quickly on scene and detained a man on the platforms at the station.
A 23-year-old man (no further details at present) was arrested on possession of an offensive weapon, he is being taken to custody. There are no reported injuries.During the arrest a Taser device was drawn but not deployed.

This incident is not currently believed to be terror-related.”
