A little look around Eltham as cinema progress continues

I don’t visit Eltham too often but when I do it’s noticeable how the forthcoming Vue cinema is progressing quite swiftly.

The main image above (taken from a 321 bus) shows how it will stand out on the High Street. It also highlights the change in the street since £6 million refurbishment. That cycle lane isn’t attracting many.

The upper area is becoming increasingly clear. This will house the cinema bar.

The Grove development has finally completed. It brings 144 flats to Eltham town centre.

Finally, though the street refurb has been completed at £6 million it’s a shame far simpler and cheaper measures to improve areas just outside the upgraded area such as this junction littered with street clutter:

I also noticed that Mothercare will be replaced with a branch of budget bookshop The Works.

As a private renter living costs are very high and ads bring in relatively little to the site. I run it alone, and you can support me through Paypal with a one-off or monthly donation here

Another option is via Patreon with offers monthly payments by clicking here

Finally there's the Ko-fi option

Many thanks
