Armed robbery at Charlton retail park today

Met Police have revealed that an armed robbery occurred earlier today at the Carphone Warehouse store in Charlton by Bugsby’s Way.

The store is oddly located in the corner of a car park away from other shops.

Two staff were tied up in the robbery and discovered only after an alarm went off. The suspects had fled with a large amount of money.

According to police, “it was established that two male suspects entered the store at about 9.20am and threatened them with what is believed to be a firearm.

“The suspects then tied the victims’ wrists with tape before stealing a large quantity of mobile phones and cash.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 101 quoting CAD 1932/11JUL or tweet @MetCC.
