Police stop Peckham burglary before being attacked and having gun pulled on them

Police in Peckham last night attempted to stop a moped related burglary at a mobile phone store before an extraordinary set of events unfolded.

Whilst trying to detail suspects around the mobile phone store suspects on the moped surrounded officers, threatened them whilst “pushing and kicking them in the process”.

Two got away, whilst one was tasered and arrested.

Officers travelled to Croydon in connection with the burglary, and whilst transporting the suspect a moped drew alongside and a gun was pulled on the van. The police sped off.

Any witnesses or anyone with any information can call Trident officers on 101 or message on Twitter @MetCC. Quote CAD 412/29AUG if you have info.
