Bomb threat closes area near o2 on Greenwich Peninsula

Parts of north Greenwich near the o2 are currently closed to due to an apparent bomb threat.

Police have closed a large area and evacuated students from Ravensbourne College. The Thames Clipper pier is also closed.

Thames Clippers state: “North Greenwich Pier is currently closed. All RB1 services will be starting and terminating at Greenwich Pier. We’ll update once more information is known. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.”

The underground station is open but reported to be very busy.

5:15pm EDIT: The closures have been lifted and the area is reopening.
