Firework launched at police dealing with Eltham disturbance

Police have tonight had a firework directed at them whilst dealing with a disturbance beside McDonalds in Eltham.

A group of youths causing problems at the restaurant resulted in police arriving. Whilst doing so, the firework landed metres away from officers.

Those that launched the firework ran off. Police are seeking those responsible.

As a private renter living costs are very high and ads bring in relatively little to the site. I run it alone, and you can support me through Paypal with a one-off or monthly donation here

Another option is via Patreon with offers monthly payments by clicking here

Finally there's the Ko-fi option

Many thanks

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.

  • We are fast approaching the time of the year where low level explosive devices are sold freely, in memoriam of a failed plot to kill King James and the Upper House. I think any lesson learned from the event is long lost and the things should be banned to the public entirely. The police have enough to worry about without some punks trying to burn or blind them, to say nothing of the inevitable ones launched at windows.
