Woman, 75, murdered in Peckham
A 75 year old woman was stabbed last night in Peckham near the Old Kent Road.
Police were called at 16:04 to an address on Ethnard Road and the victim pronounced dead at 16:37. She had suffered multiple stab wounds.
A 55 year old man was arrested at the scene and treated for a stab wound. He has since been discharged and taken to a south London police station.
Both were known to each other.
This murder takes the number in London further beyond last years total, though its important to remember that levels ares still below much of the 1990s and 2000s.
