DLR train fills with smoke on approach to Woolwich

Passengers on a DLR train last night saw smoke appear in a carriage as a train passed through tunnels approaching Woolwich.

Staff were seen examining the train and the incident follows smoke coming from a DLR train near Shadwell before Christmas.

TfL have not confirmed whether it was due to vandalism or a mechanical issue, though reliability of DLR stock has been poor in recent weeks – and the trains were never particularly reliable to begin with.

Many will be replaced as they are almost life-expired – though not until 2022 at the earliest.

As a private renter living costs are very high and ads bring in relatively little to the site. I run it alone, and you can support me through Paypal with a one-off or monthly donation here

Another option is via Patreon with offers monthly payments by clicking here

Finally there's the Ko-fi option

Many thanks
