Trains not stopping at Canary Wharf Jubilee Line due to death on platform

Tube trains are passing through Canary Wharf station without stopping after reports of a man having died after falling onto the eastbound platform.

Emergency services are on scene and an air ambulance landed nearby.

The station’s closure means DLR services will be extremely busy as rush hour approaches.

A spokesman for British Transport Police said: “Paramedics also attended and a person was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers are now working to identify the person and inform their family.

This incident is not currently being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
