Developer seeks to build Woolwich flats by barracks

Plans have been submitted to construct a block of flats in Woolwich on the Abbey Autos car garage site near Woolwich Barracks.

There would be 23 flats and 2 car parking spaces.

The site is also beside the former Kings Arms pub – bombed by the IRA in 1974 – which had plans for demolition approved last year. 19 flats will be built on that site if plans approved.

This new proposal would include 11×1 bed, 6×2 bed, 4×3 bed and 2×4 bed flats with no “affordable” housing but a payment for off-site provision.
