Police appeal after Eltham car hijacking

Police are appealing for witnesses after a car was hijacked by men posing as police officers in Eltham.

The incident happened in Middle Park Avenue as the victim headed towards the Yorkshire Grey roundabout.

A woman in a BMW 5 series saw a BMW 4×4 behind her which turned on a blue light located around the dashboard and front window.



Card use in Charlton

After stopping, a man approached and showed a fake badge then asked the victim to leave the car and drove off – taking a handbag left inside and later using a debit card in Charlton whilst the bad was found in Blackheath.

The suspect is described as white and in his early 30s, slim with dark brown hair and stubble and the other suspect who stole the BMW is described as a white man aged 30 to 35.
