Southeastern affected by trackside fire then track defect
Not a great day for Woolwich. This morning saw the DLR closed from Woolwich and this afternoon a couple more incidents have led to some Southeastern trains currently cancelled from central London to Woolwich and beyond.
Firstly a trackside fire occurred around an hour ago and now a track defect has been reported around Woolwich Dockyard.
Hi Duncan, we don't know how long it'll be yet, so if you can I'd recommend getting a train to Greenwich and getting the DLR to Woolwich – we have arrangements in place to do this at no extra cost to your rail ticket ^PK

Southeastern’s advice of a DLR from Lewisham to Woolwich via Canning Town is curious and far from a quick option.
UPDATE: The line is now open though cancellations remain
