Two ongoing cab driver protests in London

Two series of ongoing protests by cab drivers are currently ongoing in London.

Private hire drivers (Uber on the whole) are protesting at London Bridge today from 4pm against TfL’s decision to charge them the congestion fee. This will cause extension changes to bus routes in the area.

Secondly, black cab drivers have been protesting changes to Tottenham Court Road due to be introduced which restricts their ability to pick up passengers.

They were protesting all last week and more are expected.

As a private renter living costs are very high and ads bring in relatively little to the site. I run it alone, and you can support me through Paypal with a one-off or monthly donation here

Another option is via Patreon with offers monthly payments by clicking here

Finally there's the Ko-fi option

Many thanks

There's also a Facebook page for the site here

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.

  • I’m surprised neither group think to protest around Blackwall tunnel with Ikea opening. The disruption would be huge.
