New Pie and Mash shop in New Eltham
A new Pie and Mash shop is opening in New Eltham with plans submitted to Greenwich Council.
A bit of traditional London grub will be on offer which comes others close in the capital. one of the most recent was in Deptford High Street.
The store will be in a former furniture store (that seemed to have a closing down sale on for about a year) opposite co-op.
I’ll be there for double pie, double mash on day 1. With liquor. If you can’t wait Goddards in Greenwich is well worth a visit.
Another good recent opening in the area is Pope Street. Food and drinks get good reviews.

It is good to see a traditional pie and mash shop opening in New Eltham. Sadly there are not enough pie and mash shops in London. I hope it will be a great success.
Many smaller establishments are falling by the wayside not only as tastes change but people’s attitudes as well. Few appreciate the time and effort required to hand make and bake pies from scratch. There’s a perverse irony that endures where people gladly pay over the odds for chain rubbish like Nandos but expect pie and mash or similar simple food to be dirt cheap. I wish the proprietors well its a lot of hard work and I hope they reap a good reward
as there is already a pie and mash shop in eltham as well as greenwich and welling it would have been better to open one up nearer to me in charlton. hope someones reading this and interested
