Armed police sent to back-up colleagues at fight near o2
Armed police were scrambled to assist unarmed colleagues after a knife fight broke out among two groups near the o2 in Greenwich.
The Metropolitan Police’s Firearms Command stated: “C Relief were called to support our unarmed @MPSGreenwich colleagues to detain a number of males involved in a large fight involving knives where people had been injured last night. Several arrests were made and this knife recovered”.
Three people were injured though none seriously – and four arrests made near Millemium Way. All remain in custody after the incident last night.
Well done MPS Greenwich and their colleagues some more arrest and more knives recovered and taken off the streets of Greenwich and London.
