New block of flats in Belvedere approved near Lidl and Travelodge

Bexley Council last week gave the green light to 69 new flats adjacent to Belvedere Park which includes The Morgan pub, a Travelodge and Lidl.

Newhaven Construction are behind the plans. Flats are split 11 x 1 bed, 44 x 2 bed and 14 x 3 bed units.

That recessed top floor will have a concrete facade.

The site is around five minutes from Belvedere station which sees at least six trains an hour off-peak. Though Thameslink doesn’t stop – even when the long-delayed full service commences in May.

The wider area is in line for 8,000 homes as part of the Bexley growth strategy.

As a private renter living costs are very high and ads bring in relatively little to the site. I run it alone, and you can support me through Paypal with a one-off or monthly donation here

Another option is via Patreon with offers monthly payments by clicking here

Finally there's the Ko-fi option

Many thanks

There's also a Facebook page for the site here

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.
