Unsafe tree diverting buses in Greenwich

Numerous bus routes are on diversion in Greenwich Peninsula as an unsafe tree has resulted in an inability to travel along parts of West Parkside.

High winds are also causing issues on other forms of transport with Southeastern having a 50 mph speed limit across the network.

Dartford crossing bridge also has a speed restriction.

As a private renter living costs are very high and ads bring in relatively little to the site. I run it alone, and you can support me through Paypal with a one-off or monthly donation here

Another option is via Patreon with offers monthly payments by clicking here

Finally there's the Ko-fi option

Many thanks

There's also a Facebook page for the site here

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.

  • It is better to be safe than sorry. I hope the tree will see work carried out to make it safe as soon as possible. So buses and other vehicles can travel along West Parkside.

Some trees around Greenwich Borough are being allowed to grow very high with a wide spread of branches. Although it is nice to see the trees and have greenery on streets. If they got damaged in high winds and came down they would cause a lot of damage to neighbouring homes and vehicles.
