Lewisham accident causes car to flip blocking buses

An accident in Lewisham beside the former Carpetright store has seen a car roll onto its roof on Thurston Road closing the street and disrupting buses based at an adjacent bus stand.

Numerous routes disrupted according to TfL:

Emergency services are on scene.

On a separate point, the bus stand is eventually planned to become the site of a Bakerloo Line station and carpetright near this incident is to be turned into a tower, with demolition now underway. That is not a factor in tonight’s incident I should add.
