Fire breaks out near Canary Wharf

Smoke has been seen emanating from a tall building in the Isle of Dogs.

The fire appears to be coming from the top of a mid-size residential block. Whilst dramatic, it appears at this moment to be terrace or balcony fire and not within the structure.

The Fire Brigade appear to have extinguished the blaze and are now dampening down.

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.

  • I’m happy to say that no injuries have been reported. At Urang PM we take fire safety very seriouly and have carried out full cladding and fire stopping testing on City Tower. This stopped the fire spreading beyond its source making it easy to put out.
Anyone effected please contact me directly on 02077518083 max.raymond@urang.co.uk
