Arsonists target Bexley Charity van

A minibus helping schoolchildren and disabled people get about has been set alight in Dartford very close to Crayford.

A Mercedes minibus worth £70,000 is a wreck after the attack.

The charity Bexley Accessible Transport Scheme “operate a membership-only scheme, and our services are aimed at those with mobility needs, of all ages, and those with learning difficulties. We also provide transport for community and voluntary groups, Care Trusts, Social Services and SEN Schools.”

  • I was shocked and also very sad to read this article and just cannot believe who would do such a terrible nasty and of cause very dangerous act. Why do this to a charity vehicle that helps the most vulnerable members of our society.

    Why also did they feel they need to target this vehicle and the group of people the service is provided for? I sincerely hope this is a isolated incident.

  • The culprits are sociopaths who lack empathy. You cannot appeal to their better nature because they do not have one.
