Two police officers and child injured in pursuit

A pursuit yesterday which begun in Erith saw two officers injured along with an innocent member of the public bitten by a police dog. Three suspects have been arrested.

The incident begun in Castleton Avenue in Erith with a car spotted on fake plate. The car was pursued and rammed a police car in Bexleyheath injuring two officers inside.

The suspects were then followed back to Erith where three escaped the vehicle. Two were arrested. Another headed towards members of the public according to police, where the dog bit a boy.

The police state: “three were arrested for Aggravated Taking a motor vehicle without owner’s consent, possession of imitation firearm, dangerous driving, going equipped for theft and ABH on officers.”

“Suspects are currently in Police Custody at a South London Police Station.”
