Two women stabbed and suspect tasered in Greenwich town centre

A man was tasered this afternoon after he attacked people with a knife across Greenwich culminating near the Cutty Sark

Witnesses report a man with a knife threatening a third woman before the arrest.

The first stabbing was on Norman Road. A woman, aged in her 40s was found suffering from slash wounds.

Police were then called to Thornham Street to a report that another woman had been stabbed.

An 18 year old was then tasered and arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

  • Oh my god this is terrible news. I hope the victims are ok my thoughts are with them, Thank you to the Police officers for their swift action in detaining this young men before more people were hurt.

    Greenwich Town Centre would have been very busy with tourist and local people including lots of children out enjoying a nice sunny afternoon in Greenwich.
