Travellers move onto Greenwich Enderby Wharf site
Land in Greenwich that was due to see a cruise terminal before that plan was scrapped is now home to travellers who moved on-site yesterday.
The land has lay empty for many years like others on the Peninsula. Owners Criterion Capital stated in July they would not proceed with a cruise terminal and would seek residential use alone.
The cruise liner planned included towers. They’ve never been built.
It’s not the only Greenwich site with travellers. An area near Greenwich Millennium Village at Horn Link Way has seen numbers on site for years.
The way to go these days. I still regret not squatting at the old Tunnel Lane fire station
Sadly thiis will happen where land is left empty and undeveloped. for many years. This is also the reason why so many empty buildings are also squatted in,
It not uncommon for developers to sell empty sites on to other devlopers when they cannot get the planning permission they require themselves. Hopefully residential planning will soon be granted for this site at Enderby Wharf which will include some more affordable homes at locally affordable rents. .
I wonder what happened to the plans for Enderby House to become a pub? Last time I went past it looked like previous bar fittings had been stripped out
Shockin cos they all leave litter n uman waste wot the council then as to clear up. Get rid asap n don’t let them back again.
I wonder what will happen to Enderby House I thought the plans were also for it to be a pub. If a pub is no longer planned for Enderby House than I would guess it may become some more apartments.
