Police launch crackdown at Belvedere station

Police tonight have embarked on a crackdown at Belvedere station along the lines of those seen last week in Woolwich and Lewisham before.

British Transport Police state “three people have been arrested, two for offensive weapons and one for being wanted. A fourth has been reported for drugs.”

Last weeks operation at Woolwich Arsenal saw 10 arrests and knife arches installed.
