Police hunt armed Bexleyheath shoplifter

Police are looking for a man believed armed with a knife who was caught by Poundland staff trying to steal items yesterday afternoon.

Police were called at 2.55 pm yesterday (New Year’s Day) after the suspect was stopped by staff.

The suspect then fled leaving items behind. Police state officers searched the surrounding area but couldn’t not locate the man.

The suspect is described as a tall, slim white man with a beanie hat. Anyone with information can contact police on 101.
