Work begins on next stage of Greenwich Millennium Village

Work has commenced at long-vacant sites at Greenwich Millennium Village as future blocks get underway.

Preparatory work can be seen at plot 301 which will see 135 homes. Apologies for the pics taken from a passing bus.

Plots in the background have topped out and may be occupied before the end of the year.

Plot 301 coming soon

In other news the contentious tower block plan beside the ecological park was approved on appeal. However, developers have also pushed ahead on a similar scheme that includes new facilities for the park which looks the more likely to now go ahead.

As a private renter living costs are very high and ads bring in relatively little to the site. I run it alone, and you can support me through Paypal with a one-off or monthly donation here

Another option is via Patreon with offers monthly payments by clicking here

Finally there's the Ko-fi option

Many thanks

There's also a Facebook page for the site here

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.

  • What ever we think of the developments on the Greenwich Peninsula. It is good to see construction starting again to safe guard construction jobs on these developments.
