Signalling falls over on first day of Bexleyheath line closure

The first workday morning rush hour with the Bexleyheath line closure hasn’t gone entirely according to plan – as a signal fault emerged around London Bridge.

Trains were running pretty well – on Southeastern at least – until around 8:20am. Thameslink have seen issues all morning which saw cancellations on the Woolwich line.

The Bexleyheath line is closed to shore up embankment defences around Barnehurst. Various rail replacement buses to nearby stations on the Sidcup and Woolwich line are in place.
