New sign for Eltham station

New signs near Eltham station look set to be painted  under a railway bridge.

Similar signs have appeared at various stations after commission from Network Rail.

A similar sign by artist Lionel Stanhope appeared in Plumstead last year.

Many others have appeared across the country and have done a great job of brightening up forgotten corners.

As a private renter living costs are very high and ads bring in relatively little to the site. I run it alone, and you can support me through Paypal with a one-off or monthly donation here

Another option is via Patreon with offers monthly payments by clicking here

Finally there's the Ko-fi option

Many thanks

There's also a Facebook page for the site here

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.

  • I didn’t realise they were commissioned by Network Rail. I was told the Brockley one was commissioned by locals. Obviously got that wrong!

Like you, I really rate them. The more the merrier.

  • Yeah they look smart, not too overbearing either.

  • I would love to see something similar on the Woolwich Road flyover.
