Can you help improve Eltham’s demelza Children’s hospice?
An appeal has been made to help with painting and improving Demelza children’s hospice in Eltham.
Marvellous Murals are brightening up the area yet need help. A post earlier stated:
“So yesterday I smashed out the undercoat on this 30 meter long wall all by myself. Lots of offers of help coming in but no one has turned up yet.
This is just one wall of many at Demelza House, Eltham, that I have just this week and next week to paint. I can do it on my own but it’s going to kill me. I spent 14 hours painting yesterday and my arms and back are starting to feel it already.
If you can wield a brush, can spare a couple of hours, or perhaps a couple of days and you can make it to Eltham the children with life limiting illnesses at this amazing hospice will be eternally grateful!”
If you can get down to the site around 10am. It’s located at 5 Wensley Close, Eltham, SE9 5AB.
Hi, what days and times can people come along?
Unfortunately I work long hours during the week, but I maybe able to spare a few hours on the weekend.
Do people just rock up and say they have come to volunteer?
Will materials (rollers, brushes, paint etc) be provided?
From what I read people can just turn up around 10am today, and I think following days but need confirmation of that. Not sure on materials I think they are provided but will check.
Hi would like to help, but do I need to take materials? Looking at going tomorrow (Friday) x
Is the place open on a Sunday?
