TfL announce enhanced cleaning of public transport network

Transport for London have today announced enhanced cleaning of public transport across London as the number infected with coronavirus grows.

You may note this seems a little slow given what we have seen around the rest of the word in previous weeks and months. Whether the UK is really prepared for numbers now seen in Italy and other European nations is a burning question.

I’ve also noticed Southeastern staff spraying surfaces in stations much more regularly over recent days.

Around two weeks ago I wrote a post about the impact of reduced passenger numbers on rail franchises and TfL given severe financial problems that already exist with many rail companies and TfL.
