It’s been a busy 24 hours for the Fire Brigade. A dramatic fire last night in Wood Green saw a maisonette destroyed and the roof of an entire block collapse.

Top work by the Fire Brigade all round.

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.

  • I live in the Hither Green development and it was remarkable how quickly they were on the scene, it was less than 5 minutes from the smoke becoming visible. Excellent job.
