Many other authorities from Croydon in the south, to Ealing in the west and Newham in the east of London did the same.
A number of protests into his murder have taken place in London over recent days.
Note: I’ve turned off comments. It takes a lot of time to monitor comments as it is with some abusive ones slipping through the net or some valid comments going into spam automatically which have to be retrieved. I can see why many turn them off, but there are also useful comments too on many stories so I’d rather the option remained rather than a blanket halt but for this one I don’t have time today to monitor everything.
