Greenwich market to reopen tomorrow
Greenwich market will open for the first time in months tomorrow (Thursday 11th June).
Hot and cold food will be available for takeaway. Opening times are 10am – 4.30pm with the market opening from Thursday to Sunday.
Social distancing measures will be in place. Paving space around the market along Greenwich’s one-way system have been installed – though not without issue.
The weather notwithstanding, I think the reopening will draw a lot of people just as with other businesses that have recently reopened.
It is good to see businesses and markets gradually re=opening. it is vitally important that social distancing is adhered too.
People need to be sensible and respect each other and each others space.
Corona virus is still out there so please keep safe and listen to the advice being given.
Oh its a great news for folks hope so the all universities n markets open soon…
Stay home n feel safe
It is great new Jass you;re so right. Sadly many of us pay do not have the luxury of staying home and keeping safe as we need to go to work to save business from closure and pay our taxes to keep the economy and our public services like the NHS going.
Yes will be good for Greenwich to see Greenwich Market open again following social distancing rules.
I hope the scheme to remove the Greenwich One Way System and provide more pedestrianisation in Greenwich Town Centre will now be brought forward with works completed sooner rather than later.
Social distancing wll remain just as important as ever with the flu season and other winter viruses that come around especially when out and about.
Well today wasn’t that impressive there was, just, three stalls two of which was, food and one selling stuff I hope other days is better…
Thursday is vintage day in the market and is typically less busy. While we have been on lockdown, I have been taking photographs of normally busy place. Here – https://i.imgur.com/WvHgW7G.jpg – is one of Greenwich market.
