Greenwich pub at Enderby House to finally open?
Plans are in to install signage and lighting at a new Greenwich pub due to open some time ago.
Enderby House is a listed building beside new developments on the south west tip of Greenwich Peninsula. Young’s announced they would open a pub and submitted plans almost two years ago – and then hit trouble.
Rot was discovered in places though they are now apparently at the final stages with applications in to install finishing touches. A totem pole will be located outside.
Hopefully the current situation doesn’t lead to yet further hold ups.
It will be good news for the residents of Enderby Wharf as I do think there is much in the way of amenities on this development.
Thanks for alerting us to this – the notices have now appeared on nearby lampposts. The signage application is almost identical to the withdrawn application 20/0233/L from February this year, with the only change visible on a quick view of the removal of an illuminated menu board.
The lighting looks discreet and shouldn’t cause any local annoyance – but once again for this site the location plan doesn’t take include the Fiador & Distel Apartments building which practically abut the “main entrance” in Telegraph Avenue.
I don’t know how long it will take them to complete the fitting out – ater a lot of activity earlier in the summer, the site has been quiet (except for the alarms which go off constantly!), there has been nobody on site for about a month.
Hi every one working on pub was laid of work about a month ago so don’t thing it’s opening
I wish the new pub every success. There is not a lot of amenities on the Enderby Wharf development.
So I am sure the new pub will be very much welcomed. It is also great to see a listed building that as stood empty for years coming back in to use
People are back on site, and work is continuing now.
