New shop and homes planned on Bexleyheath Broadway

Plans are in to build a new shop and flats at 281 Broadway in Bexleyheath which currently houses a tattoo shop and warehouse.

The current building is a single storey structure closest to the street rising in height to the rear. Many other buildings in the vicinity are at least two storeys in height facing the street.

Nine flats are proposed, including 4 x studios, 1 x 1 bed, 3 x 2 bed, 1 x 3 bed.

This part of the Broadway has seen a number of small-scale conversion and building projects proposed, including some office space converted to residential. This plot previously saw a withdrawn plan in 2018 – covered on this site here – which sought to construct 21 studio flats

  • The new homes will be welcomed along with the new shop premises. As mixed use developments have proven to work well in other areas.

Bexleyeath Broadway is also a prime location for a new business with lots of passing footfall.
