Woolwich Waterfront sees new community testing site opened

A new community testing facility is to open at Waterfront leisure centre in Woolwich.

With the famous slide out of action the centre is taking on a new role. The facility offers fast tests with results in as little as 30 minutes to people who may be infected but display no symptoms.

It joins four other quick test centres in the borough.

Centres for those with symptoms can be seen here.

As a private renter living costs are very high and ads bring in relatively little to the site. I run it alone, and you can support me through Paypal with a one-off or monthly donation here

Another option is via Patreon with offers monthly payments by clicking here

Finally there's the Ko-fi option

Many thanks

There's also a Facebook page for the site here

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.

  • Shame the Queen Anne Court one is closing 24 January. I have used it 3 times now, but unlikely to travel to the others

  • Good news as more of these centres are needed along with more vaccination centres if we are to ever get on top of this awful and deadly virus.

People must take the virus very seriously and adhere to the rules at all times.
