Deanston Wharf: Work continues on hundreds of homes in Silvertown
Work on 800 homes beside the DLR in Silvertown continues with various buildings set to soon rise.
These photos were taken in recent days and shows groundworks. Ballymore and Oxley Holdings are behind the project, which sits next to Ballymore’s 3,400-home Royal Wharf.
It’s predominantly car free, with incoming residents expected to use the DLR.
However, 261 car parking spaces will be provided with a ratio of less than 0.3 spaces to flats. 261 is still a sizable number of cars in this area, which is near Silvertown Tunnel.
The tallest block will rise to 19-floors in height.
Affordable Housing is set at 24% (50% Affordable Rent, 50% Intermediate).
A few hundred metres to the east lies another large plot which still lies empty directly next to West Silvertown DLR station:
A controversial proposal in the area is a three-tier depot acting as a delivery hub with HGV and van deliveries.
