Bus fire in Charlton

A bus has caught alight in Charlton tonight causing disruption to services.

According to a witness the “bus pulled up on Charlton Road at 6.20pm and driver ran out shouting for everyone to follow. He attempted a fire extinguisher but got out of control. It looks like an engine fire.”

  • Pleased the driver and all the passengers alighted the bus safely and the fire was quickly brought back under control.
