Greenwich comedy festival returns for 2021

Greenwich comedy festival is back underway beside the Queen’s House until 19th September.

Shows will be out in the open in contrast to previous years. Luckily mild and dry weather is forecast for coming days.

The line-up includes Reginald D Hunter, Dara Ó Briain, Shappi Korsandi, Stephen K Amos, Tim Key, Rich Hall, Nish Kumar and Alan Davies among many others. Most events have 4-5 comics on the bill.

I’ve been lucky enough to see most of them over the years and really, you cannot go wrong with any. Tim Key for me is the pick of the bunch.

And credit to the organisers for having accurate advice on reaching the site via rail. Many businesses or events state to take the tube which would be hassle, while trains are far more convenient on Southeastern and Thameslink stopping at nearby Maze Hill and Greenwich stations.

As a private renter living costs are very high and ads bring in relatively little to the site. I run it alone, and you can support me through Paypal with a one-off or monthly donation here

Another option is via Patreon with offers monthly payments by clicking here

Finally there's the Ko-fi option

Many thanks

There's also a Facebook page for the site here

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.
