Do not travel: Southeastern warn of train cancellations tomorrow due to Storm Franklin
Southeastern have announced cancellations and speed restrictions across their network from today (Sunday 20 February) and extending into tomorrow.
All Metro routes will see reduced services tomorrow until at least 4pm, in addition to an already reduced timetable which still has yet to be restored to normal levels leaving 30 minute gaps through busy stations such as Greenwich.
Longer distance routes will be hit by speed restrictions. Southeastern are stating people should not travel, and if disruption occurs replacement buses will not be available.
🚉 The main entrance at Dartford Station is closed following damage caused by Storm Eunice.
🎫The Booking Hall and Ticket Machines are not accessible.
🚶You can access the station via the rear entrance, near platform 1. There may be queues to get in and out at busy times.— Southeastern (@Se_Railway) February 20, 2022
While Storm Franklin is not expected to bring winds as high as Storm Eunice, it comes alongside heavy rain, which coupled with already weakened trees and structures could see damage and felled trees.
