Motorcyclist dies after Eltham van collision

A motorcyclist has died this morning after a collision with a van on Rochester Way.

London’s Air Ambulance attended at 6:30am and despite best efforts, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:16am.

Police are appeal for help, asking that anyone who witnessed the collision or captured it on dash-cam or other camera footage should contact police on 101, providing the reference 1001/02MAR.

The driver of the van stayed at the scene.

Bus route B16 is on diversion and the road remains closed between Westmount Road and Falconwood.
