Motorcyclist dies after Eltham van collision
A motorcyclist has died this morning after a collision with a van on Rochester Way.
London’s Air Ambulance attended at 6:30am and despite best efforts, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:16am.
Police are appeal for help, asking that anyone who witnessed the collision or captured it on dash-cam or other camera footage should contact police on 101, providing the reference 1001/02MAR.
The driver of the van stayed at the scene.
Bus route B16 is on diversion and the road remains closed between Westmount Road and Falconwood.
How sad my thoughts are with the man’s family and friends at this very sad and tragic time. My thoughts are also with the van driver and his family at this very difficult time.
