Man sought for sexual assault after boarding bus in Woolwich

Police are looking for a man after a teenage girl was sexually assaulted on a bus between Woolwich and Plumstead.

The incident is alledged to have happened on the 99 route on Sunday 20th February at around 7:30pm.

Police say the victim and suspect boarded the 99 at a stop near Woolwich Arsenal station.

Police state “As the bus travelled towards Bexleyheath the man engaged the girl in conversation and is then alleged to have carried out a sexual assault by inappropriate touching.

The man is described as aged 18-25, 5ft 10in and of Asian appearance.”

They state the man “departed the bus at Plumstead Manorway” though no such road exists. They could mean Church Manor Way at Plumstead Corner, and have been contacted to clarify.
