Appeal after bus driver racially abused in Eltham
An appeal has been issued by police after a bus driver was racially abused on Eltham High Street.
The incident occurred at around 12:15pm on Wednesday, 12 January on Eltham High Street.
Police state that the driver of a Route 314 bus was “verbally abused by a passenger who called him racist slurs and swore at him. This happened when the victim challenged the suspect after he pressed the emergency exit button on the vehicle.”
Anyone who can assist is advised to contact police by calling 101 and quoting reference CRIS 3600880/22.

The world has gone mad..Manners have gone completely out of to the window. No one is polite anymore with the majority of people rude and aggressive.. Therevis no need or no excuse for this type of behaviour. I hope the bus driver is okay and the culprit is caught soon.

The guy is a bus nut as well, see him around woolwich taking pictures of buses, think he’s called Chris, been on my bus a few times, be enough bus drivers out there ready to tell police
