Woolwich Works reveal autumn event line-up
The autumn line up at Woolwich Works sees a number of well known acts set to play the venue in coming months.
With criticism that its billing wasn’t attracting enough paying punters with bigger names to help subsidise the key role of supporting lesser known talent, the venue will see names such as Dom Joly and Alan Davies in coming weeks.
It also sees another London video game orchestra event plus a night with Shaun Ryder.
And of course, DJ Spoony.
To be fair it has had well known names ever since opening, with Sara Pascoe doing stand-up for example.
Excellent looking events from perhaps less well known artists are on throughout of course, such as Ineza and Emily Jane Roberts as part of the London Jazz Festival.
Woolwich Works is now a doddle to reach from even more areas with the Elizabeth line now running – and set to see the opening of the full route this November alongside Thames Clippers being extended to Barking.
The venue has had a tough start and needed support. Hopefully the corner will be turned as an excellent, successful venue in Woolwich benefits everyone.
