Greenwich to see new pub as Wetherspoons set February 2023 o2 opening

Work is beginning this week on a new £3 million Wetherspoon inside the o2 on Greenwich peninsula

The pub will be named The Stargazer in reference of the Observatory nearby.

The new venue does promise all the ambience of Spoon’s Stansted departure lounge.

Instead of 6am pints before a trip to Magaluf, the Jubilee to Stratford will have to suffice.

The dream awaits

To be fair, at Stansted you don’t get a 3,800 square foot beer garden with great views over the river.

Mind you it may not be as cheap as most, as the company have just sharply increased prices at “premium” London pubs.

While this one is set to open, other branches in Bexleyheath (The Wrong ‘Un) and Eltham (Banker’s Draft) are up for sale.
