Greenwich o2 Wetherspoon pub set to open end of February

A new Wetherspoon pub in the o2 is set to open on 28th February this year.

The Stargazer originally had a March opening but it’s been pulled forward slightly – though depending on construction March is still a possibility.

The pub is located in a corner unit to the north of the site in what was formerly the Craghoppers unit.

Upon entering the o2, to reach the pub it’s a turn to the right then head past the cinema and bowling to the other side of the venue.

The pub when complete will include an outside seating area with views over the Thames. The company are spending £3 million on the venture.

It’s the second Greenwich pub from Wetherspoon, with the gate House in the town centre.

The venue joins many other places to eat plus the Cineworld, bowling and outlet shopping centre which opened in recent years.

A diving venue named iFly is also set to open this coming year. It uses a wind tunnel to simulate skydiving.

As a private renter living costs are very high and ads bring in relatively little to the site. I run it alone, and you can support me through Paypal with a one-off or monthly donation here

Another option is via Patreon with offers monthly payments by clicking here

Finally there's the Ko-fi option

Many thanks

There's also a Facebook page for the site here

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.

  • I hope the pub will be a great success for visitors to the 02 Arena to attend shows and events.
