Greater Anglia offer cheap day trips from London

Greater Anglia have relaunched their “Hare Fare” promotion offering cheap return day trips from the capital.

One of the benefits compared to Advance tickets is these can be bought on the day – or just before – and used on any off-peak train both ways.

Tickets to Cambridge are £10 return. Southend is the same and Norwich is £20 return.

DLR train at Stratford

Kids tickets are £2.

Greater Anglia run trains from Liverpool Street and Stratford. Getting to Liverpool Street from parts of London is now quicker and easier, with trips from Abbey Wood and Woolwich on the Elizabeth line taking less than 20 minutes.

No longer do people need to take a Southeastern train to London Bridge then walk or take the tube to Liverpool Street.

Or the DLR to Stratford can be taken from Lewisham and Woolwich. Hare fare promotional tickets also apply from Stratford. Again, it’s a quick journey.

Tickets are on sale until 12 February for journeys until early March.

Another option is via Patreon with offers monthly payments by clicking here

Finally there's the Ko-fi option

Many thanks

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.
