Months of delays through Plumstead due to major road works

Plumstead High Street is set to see roadworks and temporary traffic lights in place until June.

Thames Water have been undertaking roadworks recently with further work set to begin on 13th February running until 2nd June. Work is centred around the junction of Plumstead Road, Lakedale Road and White Hart Road.

We’ve already seen long queues along Plumstead High Street hampering bus journeys on a number routes.

If people wanted to use rail as an alternative for certain routes such as Abbey Wood or Plumstead to Greenwich they must now contend with Southeastern cutting their trains on the line by 50 per cent leaving long gaps between services.

Happy travelling!

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.
