Long A2 tailbacks towards Kent after lorry incident

Queues are quickly building along the A2 in the Kent-bound direction from Bexley after reports of a lorry shedding its load.

Queues are already back some miles to the Kidbrooke interchange with traffic at a standstill through Falconwood and Eltham.

The exact location of the incident seems to be south of Townley Grammar school before the Black Prince interchange.

Expect queues to quickly back up through Blackheath towards Greenwich which will also impact local buses.

As a private renter living costs are very high and ads bring in relatively little to the site. I run it alone, and you can support me through Paypal with a one-off or monthly donation here

Another option is via Patreon with offers monthly payments by clicking here

Finally there's the Ko-fi option

Many thanks

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.

  • Another issue which will be worse when Silvertown tunnel opens as another tunnel load of cars will be heading onto this stretch of the A2.
