Plumstead pub set for revamp

Plans are in to spruce up the outside of the Fox and Hounds pub on Plumstead Common Road.

The site sits on a corner at a busy junction with the pub having a history dating back around 150 years.

It’s welcome to see plans for investment rather than closure.

Now if only the junction itself could see a bit of investment from Greenwich to restore some of its former appeal the area would be much improved.

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.

  • Maybe they can paint the Hedges properties over the road too. and maybe move their fleet of waste clearance vehicles that are just rotting in the road. 48 years they have been there don’t you know. The parking situation and access to the road is a disgrace. Greenwich council should take some action.
